Jacksonville will, at the latest, look to wrap up its general manager opening before February 28th, per owner Shad Khan. What do the seven GM candidates bring to the table?

After adding Hall of Famer Tony Boselli to the front office structure, the Jacksonville Jaguars’ search to fill their open general manager role officially kicked off on Monday, as the team announced a bevy of interview requests. As the list grew to seven candidates on Tuesday, one top candidate was missing from this list: Tampa Bay Buccaneers assistant General Manager Mike Greenberg. Greenberg withdrew his name for consideration on Tuesday, with Jacksonville later adding Josh Williams to the group of candidates. EVP Tony Boselli also confirmed that Interim General Manager Ethan Waugh would receive an interview for the role.

Ian Cunningham - Bears AGM

The 39-year-old, former Virginia Cavaliers and Kansas City Chiefs offensive tackle has climbed the ranks throughout his 17-year career as an executive in Baltimore under Ozzie Newsome, Philadelphia under Howie Roseman, and Chicago under Ryan Poles. Cunningham began his executive career with the Baltimore Ravens in 2008 as a Personnel Assistant, before being promoted to Southeast area scout in 2013 and Southeast/Southwest area scout in 2015. In 2017, he would accept an offer to join the Philadelphia Eagles as their Director of College Scouting. His accession would then continue in 2019, where he would be promoted to Assistant Director of Player Personnel, and Director of Player Personnel in 2021, before joining the Chicago Bears as their Assistant General Manager in 2022.

As an executive, Cunningham has Super Bowl championships with the Ravens in 2012 (Personnel Assistant) and Philadelphia in 2017 (Director of College Scouting). He has been a finalist for the Washington Commander’s General Manager role in 2024, interviewed with the Los Angeles Chargers and Tennessee Titans, and turned down the Arizona Cardinals GM opening in 2023.

Brandon Brown - Giants AGM

The 36-year-old former Fordham University defensive back has put together an impressive 14-year career as an executive in New York under Mike Tannenbaum, Indianapolis under Ryan Grigson, New York under Joe Schoen, and Philadelphia under Howie Roseman. Brown began his executive career in 2012 as a Pro Personnel Intern for the New York Jets.
