Both starting guards are ‘week to week’ with injuries

The Los Angeles Rams entered Week 1 with good news about their injury report but left their first win of the season with questions at two important starting positions: Left guard Steve Avila and right guard Kevin Dotson are both in danger of missing Week 2’s game against the Tennessee Titans. Per Sean McVay, the Rams are not ruling out either guard for Sunday’s contest and they are considered week-to-week right now.

Both guards have ankle sprains.

The Rams started quarterback Matthew Stafford (back) and left tackle A.J. Jackson (blood clots) and both look set to go for the next game, but now 40% of the offensive line is in danger of being held out against the Titans. The Rams had to turn to Beaux Limmer during the game on Sunday, with mixed results, at best.

Currently filling out L.A.’s depth chart at guard are Limmer, Justin Dedich, and David Quessenberry. But Dedich and Quessenberry were both inactive in Week 1. Will the Rams be confident in their offensive line, and the backups who will be available, if Dotson and Avila are forced to miss the Titans game?
