Bo Nix is not a fan of dogs.
Kirk Herbstreit had no idea about this the first time the Broncos quarterback met his dog, Peter. The dog tried to greet Nix, and he reluctantly backed away. Herbstreit, who previously lost his dog, spoke with Nix’s teammates about it.
He then spoke to Nix, who stated the situation was fine. However, Herbstreit had a plan in place. He wanted Nix to pet his dog. This was despite multiple teammates talking about his irrational fear of dogs. It does not matter whether the dog is small or large.
As Bo Nix was on the field at Arrowhead Stadium, he reluctantly came over to pet Peter. “My wife will be shocked,” Nix stated as he quickly backed away from the dog after petting it. Nix then shared a story about how he had been previously attacked by a dog, which had created a fear of them. His family never had them and doesn’t particularly like them either.

The Denver Broncos have just one more game to play this regular season. Denver’s win over the Chiefs on Christmas night keeps two scenarios alive for Week 17. The Broncos will clinch the AFC West with a Chargers loss or tie to the Texans on Saturday night.
They can also clinch the No. 1 seed in the conference. But they need a Patriots loss, a Chargers loss, a Jags loss, and a Bills loss. That path is very unlikely. According to playoffstatus.com, the Denver Broncos currently have a 66% chance to win the AFC West.
The Denver Broncos traveled to GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium on Christmas. Bo Nix did not do much, but he managed a last-minute touchdown to seal the victory. If it comes down to the last game, it is going to be an uphill battle.
Bo Nix is 0-3 against the Chargers so far over his first two seasons. He’s completed 63 percent of his passes. The Broncos quarterback was 632 yards with five touchdowns and one interception against them.
