Broncos quarterback Bo Nix wants to be the best quarterback in the world
Earlier in the week, the NFL announced that Broncos quarterback Bo Nix was ranked 64th on their Top 100 Players of 2025 list. These rankings may not mean much in the grand scheme of things, but it is still cool to see Nix get the recognition from his peers that he deserves.
After the Broncos' training camp practice on Saturday, Bo Nix met with the media and was asked about being part of the NFL’s Top 100 list. Nix called it an honor to be recognized by his peers.
“I’m kind of on both sides with it. I think it’s obviously a cool honor because that’s what your peers think, guys you play. At the same time, just the way I think, the way I am motivated, I want to continue to get higher.”
Nix continued saying it’s not even about the ranking and that it doesn’t really matter where you are ranked. He has higher goals, and his internal standard is wanting to be the “best in the world,” and he’s not going to stop until he gives it his best try.
Not even for the ranking. It doesn’t really matter what you’re ranked, it’s just an internal standard that I have that I want to be the best in the world. I know there are a lot of guys that I’m competing for that with. I’m not going to stop until I at least give it my best try.”
Ever since being drafted by the Broncos, Bo Nix’s confidence has been very high, and his work ethic has been widely praised by coaches and teammates alike. You often see fake confidence and empty words thrown around, but Nix comes off very genuine with his confidence, and he backs it up with his work ethic.
He is going out of his way to spend multiple days with future Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees to pick his brain, he’s going out and working with a high-level throwing coach to clean up his mechanics, and he’s picking the brain of the Manning brothers whenever he gets the opportunity.
Nix wants to be great; he is putting in the work to be great, and the results are already starting to show. I would settle for him being the top quarterback in the AFC or AFC West, but if he becomes the best quarterback in the world, I’ll take that too.
I am a Bo-liever.
