Both of the Pittsburgh Steelers starting quarterbacks from 2024 are set to hit free agency in a month and there are conflicting reports about what direction the Steelers are going to go with either Russell Wilson or Justin Fields.
Wilson and Fields are among several veterans who are set to hit the market so don’t be shocked to see a half dozen new starting quarterbacks in 2025 not including rookies.
Bleacher Report offered up their predictions about the teams for Wilson and Fields among others. They predict that Wilson will sign with the Indianapolis Colts, presumably to replace Anthony Richardson if he continues to struggle.
Fields on the other hand, they have re-signing with the Steelers. This makes the most sense and is the way we expect this to go. Bleacher Report also predicts the re-signing of Fields will allow Pittsburgh to trade up for a top quarterback in the 2025 NFL draft.
