The Bengals are set to kick off training camp next Wednesday, which means players will be reporting to Cincinnati in the coming days. That also means we’ll see guys placed on various injury lists to start camp, the first being veteran defensive tackle B.J. Hill and rookie tight end Josh Kattus.

On Saturday, the Bengals announced that Hill was placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list and Kattus was placed on the Non-Football Injury list.

PUP applies to players with football-related injuries, while NFI applies to injuries or illnesses that were sustained away from team activities. It’s unclear what exactly both players are dealing with, so hopefully it’s nothing major that sidelines them for much of training camp.

The 31-year-old Hill actually missed the start of camp last year with a foot issue but went on to start all 17 games.

Kattus is an undrafted free agent out of Kentucky who is already facing an uphill climb to even make the practice squad, as tight end is one of the deepest positions on the 90-man roster.
