Are you ready for some Sunday Night Football? Week 1 of the NFL season features two of the best teams in the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens going head-to-head Sunday night in a clash that could possibly determine the AFC playoff outcome way down the line. It’s definitely a must-see game for fans of any team.
Most viewers will be glued to their televisions to witness what opposing quarterbacks Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson have to offer in 2025. Both now have an MVP award under the belts, with Allen winning his first last year, and the two dynamic leaders can now be considered “seasoned vets” rather than “doe-eyed newbies.”
For fans and reporters of the two teams, there will be a bit of focus on special teams. The Baltimore Ravens have replaced long-time kicker Justin Tucker with rookie Tyler Loop, who had been one of the best at his position in the country while playing for the University of Arizona. The Bills revamped the leadership in their special teams room by replacing former coach Matthew Smiley with Chris Tabor. Tabor served as special teams coordinator and interim head coach for the Carolina Panthers back in 2023. Buffalo has been forced to Plan B at kicker, with Tyler Bass hitting Injured Reserve and now sidelined for at least the next four weeks. In Bass’ place is 41-year-old Matt Prater, who was signed by the Bills late in the week.
If you can’t make the game in person, here’s how to watch the excitement unfold from home…
