Buffalo Rumblings
The Buffalo Bills started the season hot with a 4-0 record and in sole possession of first place in the AFC East. However, they dropped two in a row against the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons, and then entered their bye week. If the season ended today, the Bills would be grabbing a playoff spot by competing in the Wild Card Round, which isn’t ideal for fans considering the fact that they’ve won five AFC East Championship titles in a row in recent years.
On Sunday, Buffalo will head to North Carolina to take on the Panthers. These two teams have seen a lot of familiar faces between them, including head coach Sean McDermott and general manager Brandon Beane. Both men had previous stints with the Panthers and came to Buffalo in 2017, the year that quarterback Josh Allen was drafted.
Since then, there has mostly been positive buzz surrounding the team and its leaders, but admittedly, this year feels a little different. A two-game losing streak doesn’t help matters, and the Panthers have a similar record to the Bills at 4-3. Though starting quarterback Bryce Young is doubtful to play and the Panthers are an NFC team, it feels like this is a must-win game for the Bills.
