Buffalo Rumblings
It’s safe to say there will be no snow in the forecast when the Buffalo Bills clash with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday afternoon in the AFC Wild Card race. In fact, temperatures should be in the low 60s in northeastern Florida around game time with cloud cover making EverBank Stadium feel fairly comfortable for both the players and fans.
The last time these two teams met in the playoffs was 2018, when Tyrod Taylor and company finally broke the Bills’ 17-year drought with a little help from Andy Dalton and the Cincinnati Bengals. It was a total stinker of a game which exposed Buffalo’s inability to score a touchdown and the Bills would go on to lose to Jacksonville by a not-so-thrilling score of 10-3.
We highly doubt today’s game will resemble anything like 2018’s. Josh Allen and Trevor Lawrence are both legitimate QBs who lineup next to two running back studs in Travis Etienne and James Cook (this year’s NFL rushing leader), respectively. The Jags, however, have one thing the Bills do not: a solid-as-brick rushing defense. Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills will have to be near-perfect to pull out the win.
