Bills get height/weight/speed prospect in round 7

The Buffalo Bills have made their last scheduled pick in the 2025 NFL Draft with the selection of Maryland wide receiver Kaden Prather at No. 240 overall in the seventh round.

Prather is a 6’4” 205-pound receiver who ran a 4.46 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine. He’s had decent production at the Power Four level in college. He’s shown ability to contort his body to make difficult grabs in his profile in addition to the NFL-ready physique.

Prather has some speed, but he lacks explosion which is exemplified in a 30” vertical. There’s not a great amount of route running prowess to get excited about as he’s not sudden, fluid, or explosive out of his route breaks. Additionally, there’s not much of a yards-after-catch profile here for Prather.

The Bills are hoping for a big-bodied vertical option with some speed to stretch the final third of a defense. Prather should be far from guaranteed to make the 53-man roster, but he offers a different profile from anyone else currently in the receiver room.
