Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter caused controversy on Sunday against the Bills. Carter allegedly eye-gouged and throat-slashed a Buffalo Bills player on Sunday.
The Philadelphia Eagles’ DT can’t steer away from controversies. In the first game of the year, he spat at Dak Prescott and got ejected before a single play happened. The Eagles’ DT appeared to take a swipe at Buffalo Bills’ Spencer Brown midway through the Sunday game. Referees did not call for a penalty.
Brown was not happy about it. Following the game, footage showed Spencer getting into a verbal altercation with multiple Eagles players. The players talked trash as they walked up the tunnel after the game. In the end, no punches were thrown.

Jalen Carter has a reputation for on-field incidents. In the Super Bowl, he punched Patrick Mahomes in the face. The NFL thought nothing of it and did not punish him for it.
Against the Bills, Carter had one tackle, which was a sack on Josh Allen.
It might have been ugly in the stat sheet, but the Eagles got a much-needed 13-12 victory. The win was arguably the most impressive of Philadelphia’s season.
Philadelphia is still alive in the hunt for the No. 2 seed thanks to its win against the Bills. They need the Bears to lose their final two games, and they need to win their final one.
