Buffalo Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis went down with a pretty serious knee injury on Sunday.

The Bills secured a crucial win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on the day, a win that was particularly significant because it would have been their last game of the season otherwise.

Josh Allen and Co. have advanced in the playoffs, thanks to the quarterback’s heroics. Also, let’s not forget that they pulled off the longest Tush Push we have ever seen.

While Darius Slay went to watch the Philadelphia Eagles instead, despite still being on the roster, they’re the ones who got the win.

Unfortunately, however, it came at a cost.

Davis would need to be carted off the field after sustaining a knee injury.

The team could not determine the extent of the injury due to swelling, and the wideout was due an MRI this Monday.

Davis has since taken to Instagram to show off his badly discolored knee, playing the injury down, as he referred to it as “Nothin but a bit of a flesh wound.”

Gabe Davis Unlikely To Play Again This Season

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport noted earlier on Monday that the Bills were unable to get an initial diagnosis due to the swelling. In any case, it doesn’t appear that Davis will be back for the rest of the postseason.

The injury might not be season-ending, yet it’s still hard to imagine him coming back in time for Saturday’s game against the Denver Broncos.

The Bills face a formidable opponent in the AFC Divisional Round, but they do have the tools to come up with a win. While they’d definitely be better off with Davis, they’re likely preparing to play without him.
