The Buffalo Bills are currently taking part in mandatory minicamp as they gear up for the upcoming 2026 NFL season. The Bills have done some retooling this offseason as they look to break through and finally win a Super Bowl in the Josh Allen era.

Recently, the Bills posted a picture of various media photos of Allen over the years, showing how much the star quarterback and former league MVP has grown during his nine years in Buffalo.

It has indeed been a meteoric rise for Allen, who was drafted as a bit of a “project” prospect, with some wondering if his size and strength alone would be enough to overcome concerns about his accuracy and ability to read defenses at the NFL level.

While the early returns were mixed, Allen eventually grew into his own and turned into one of the best quarterbacks of his generation, using his combination of physical tools and playmaking chops to become an offense unto himself and make the Bills perennial playoff contenders.

Unfortunately, the Bills still haven’t found a way to get over the hump, last year falling in the divisional round against the Denver Broncos in a game in which Allen had several turnovers, including a particularly bad fumble before halftime that resulted in three points for Denver, which was the final margin of victory for the Broncos.

The Bills have made some moves this offseason, promoting Joe Brady to the head coaching position after firing Sean McDermott, as well as trading for former Chicago Bears wide receiver DJ Moore, in the hopes of giving Allen the best tools possible to try to finally break through and win in the biggest moments.
