No NFL team is perfect, despite when any fan will say about their favorite club. That of course includes the Buffalo Bills, a team in 2025 that was undefeated heading into their matchup last Sunday night with the New England Patriots. As Bills Mafia knows, things didn’t go well — and that extends beyond digesting the final score.

Buffalo looked completely rattled for much of the evening, most noteworthy on offense. Their usually stout running game wasn’t dominant, and the passing game couldn’t find consistent separation against New England’s talented outside cornerbacks.

The loss has left a sour taste in fans’ mouths, and many were already skeptical about Buffalo’s chances when elimination season begins. In the five weeks prior to this poll, results were metered, to say the least, in the Bills’ direction in 2025.

Take a look…

Week 1 — 58% of voters confident
Week 2 — 63% of voters confident
Week 3 — 76% of voters confident
Week 4 — 61% of voters confident
Week 5 — 61% of voters confident

So now, with the Bills at 4-1 and having sputtered a bit on offense, have opinions changed? Remember, too, that Buffalo’s defense (a much-maligned unit) held the Patriots to two field goals in a half where their offensive mates didn’t play complementary football. As was the case in 2024 against the Houston Texans, it sure appeared as though Stefon Diggs was in the collective headspace of the Bills — and he went off statistically with 146 yards on 10 catches.

In terms of coaching, recall that wide receiver Keon Coleman didn’t start in Week 5 due to a disciplinary (temporary) benching for something that happened in the lead up to Sunday night. When he finally did enter the game, Coleman was the victim of a fumble.

Do you feel the same about the team, worse, or perhaps better knowing the defense showed up enough that a win was still in sight until the final minutes of the game?

Vote now: Are you confident in the current direction of the team?
