Go ahead and add kicking to the list of things Ray Davis can do.
The Buffalo Bills running back has shown his prowess as an RB and receiver, and he can kick, too.
Davis is said to have boasted his placekicking to anyone who would entertain him. While he may have been tooting his own horn, he wasn’t overselling his ability.
The former Kentucky star made 2-of-3 from short distances during practice earlier this month and then showed out in Saturday’s preseason outing against the New York Giants.
Buffalo signed kicker Caden Davis on Friday, yet head coach Sean McDermott made it clear that the running back would likely have opportunities.
“I think it’s good for Ray, as an emergency kicker during the season, to get maybe a small warmup or maybe an extra point. See if we can score and get an extra point there for him,” he said.
The fourth-round pick got his chance on Saturday, drilling an extra point after tight end Dawson Knox scored a touchdown, to close the lead to 10-7 in the second quarter.

Ray Davis started the game at running back but was on the sideline during the scoring drive, with Ty Johnson getting the reps before he returned for the final two possessions of the first half.
Davis scored three rushing TDs and three as a receiver last season. He’s now added a PAT to his CV.
