The Buffalo Bills selected Arkansas defensive end Landon Jackson with pick No. 72 of the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft with the expectation that Jackson would be able to step in and immediately contribute during his first season with Buffalo.

While that still could be the case, Jackson reportedly suffered an injury at some point this offseason, and today’s edition of Buffalo Rumblinks leads off by examining the news that, on Tuesday, Jackson was placed on the active-physically unable to perform (PUP) list.

While the news of Jackson being injured before training camp officially begins isn’t great, the good thing is there’s ample time for Jackson to work his way back onto the field before the regular season begins on September 7. And the injury might not even force Jackson to miss the beginning of Buffalo’s training camp. According to New York Upstate Bills beat reporter Matt Parino, “a league source tells me the team is hopeful he’ll be ready for the start of practice next week.”

A tough, balanced edge defender in college, Jackson is a talented run defender who can also contribute as a pass rusher, finishing with 16 sacks and 28 tackles for loss during his career with the Razorbacks.
