Bills fans are confident in Buffalo’s chances against the Baltimore Ravens

It’s game day, Bills Mafia! This evening, the Buffalo Bills will roll out the Fieldturf for the vaunted Baltimore Ravens. Baltimore enters Highmark Stadium as favorites with FanDuel Sportsbook, which makes Buffalo a home underdog in the playoffs for the first time in franchise history. That’s significant.

There aren’t a lot of talking heads willing to pick the Bills to win, and that’s several degrees beyond interesting. Not only did Buffalo have a better regular-season record, but their command of the NFL all season long allowed them to lock up the AFC East for a fifth-consecutive time with a month left to play.

Furthermore, the Bills became the first team to defeat two 15-win teams, handing the Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs losses while the rest of the NFL went 2-30 against them combined.

These Buffalo Bills are good, and that’s largely because of the phenomenal play by quarterback Josh Allen. His campaign is NFL MVP-worthy, yet he’s once again found himself no better than second-chair to quarterback Lamar Jackson. Sure, Jackson put up elite stats and has numbers better than Allen in many columns — denying it would be silly of anyone.

Knowing that allows one to better understand just why Buffalo comes up short with people focusing on this game. But it doesn’t mean they’re right. Bills Mafia knows what happens when Josh Allen’s underestimated and dismissed. That’s exactly why the majority of voters through Buffalo Rumblings picked the Bills to win this evening. Eighty-four percent of votes were in favor of Buffalo to win and advance to the AFC Championship Game at Arrowhead.

With FanDuel Sportsbook’s O/U set at 51.5 for Bills-Ravens, 53% of voters through Buffalo Rumblings said that the game will finish over that total.

National voters (63%) also favored the odds for the Bills to cover at +1.5.

Things predictably look different from the perspective of Ravens fans, with 70% of their voters confident Baltimore will get a win and cover this evening at Highmark Stadium.

Though Ravens fans are mostly confident in a victory, 51% of voters believe that the total points scored will be under FanDuel Sportsbook’s 51.5.
