Buffalo Bills fans have grown accustomed to games of hats and shirts.

The Buffalo Bills, under the direction of head coach Sean McDermott and general manager Brandon Beane, have been good for a very long time. In fact, since McDermott’s first season as an NFL head coach in 2017 — leading the Bills to their first playoff birth in 17 seasons — Buffalo has made the playoffs every season other than 2018.

At the head of that success is the Bills’ five consecutive AFC East Division titles, dating back to the 2020 NFL season. Buffalo is the class of the division, much the same as it was for the New England Patriots during the Brady-Belichick era.

It’s a fact that Bills Mafia just can’t grow tired of, even if they continue lamenting the lack of Super Bowl appearances amid the perception that One Bills Drive is “wasting Josh Allen’s best years.” It’s exceedingly difficult making it to a Super Bowl, though Buffalo has squandered a couple true opportunities.

Despite that, winning the AFC East is key to an advantageous path to the Super Bowl, and besting your divisional foes for half a decade straight can take a toll on their morale. Coaches and players will preach “one game at a time, the division is the goal” more often than you can recall, but it’s true. Everything really starts at the divisional level, and Bills Mafia believes Buffalo is primed to continue their winning ways, en route to a “hats and shirts” game.

The results of this week’s SB Nation Reacts poll, in partnership with FanDuel Sportsbook, reveal an overwhelming majority (93%) of Rumblings readers confident in the Bills making it six AFC Championships in a row.
