Dion Dawkins was very emotional after learning what Josh Allen told reporters after the Buffalo Bills’ overtime disappointment on Saturday.

The Bills suffered a heartbreaking defeat to the Denver Broncos on the night. While they fought back to keep themselves in the game in the second half, even taking the lead at one point, early turnovers proved to be costly.

A distraught Allen said he let his teammates down while speaking to the media after the loss.

“I let my teammates down tonight. … It’s been a long season,” the quarterback said. “Hate how it ended. It’s gonna stick with me for a long time. Can’t win with 5 turnovers.”

Dion Dawkins spoke to reporters in the locker room and was informed of his QB’s comments.

He immediately started crying and whispered, “he didn’t let us down.”

The offensive tackle was unable to continue the interview, turning away from the microphones in tears.

Meanwhile, the Broncos have their own woes. Sean Payton told reporters that Bo Nix’s season is over following an ankle fracture sustained late in the game.

Nix will have surgery on Tuesday.
