The Buffalo Bills signed safety CJ Gardner-Johnson to a $6 million contract over the offseason. He now has lofty expectations for his newest organization.

Gardner-Johnson won a Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2025, so he is well aware of what it takes to climb to the NFL’s mountaintops. He’s already predicting the Bills will do the same in 2026, via Tim Graham of the Athletic.

“It’s humbling. I’ve got to be humble,” Gardner-Johnson said. “I’ve got to be grateful because you don’t know, but s**t can change! You’ve got to look at how they did the offseason here. Everybody got a nice little deal except me. That’s not a shot at the organization. That’s more so offering me a chance to get what them guys got.

“I’m going to win the next two out of three Super Bowls,” he continued. “How? Look where they placed me at. Look who’s my quarterback. If I got a f*****g fighting chance, it’s over with.”

The Bills have made the playoffs every year since 2019. However, they have yet to advance to a Super Bowl. Gardner-Johnson won’t get Buffalo over the hump on his own. But he is at least on board and confident with the franchise’s ultimate Super Bowl goals.

The safety is coming to Buffalo with 87 games of NFL experience, including 71 starts. He has put up 370 tackles, 55 passes defended and 20 interceptions. Splitting time between the Chicago Bears and Houston Texas in 2025, Gardner-Johnson registered 66 tackles, three sacks, four passes defended and two interceptions.

Buffalo will once again be one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl in 2026. They’re hopeful that with Gardner-Johnson in tow, they finally are able to lift the Lombardi Trophy.
