The Atlanta Falcons have had a season that fell well short of expectations, but a pair of their stars have received recognition for their 2025 campaigns even so.
On Tuesday, we learned that Bijan Robinson and Chris Lindstrom had both been voted into the Pro Bowl. It’s not a particularly surprising honor for either player, but it is a deserved one.
Robinson is on his way to an all-time season. He’s the current leader in yards from scrimmage leaguewide and is on the cusp of breaking William Andrews’ franchise record for yards from scrimmage. He’s fifth in rushing yardage, is second in receiving yardage from a running back, and has scored a combined nine times; Bijan is also fourth in the NFL in broken tackles and is fifth in yards after contact. Robinson has put together one of the better seasons in team history with two games to go and one of the better seasons in the NFL, and on top of the statistical output, his ability to juke, jump cut, and simply outrun defenders has made him a joy to watch.
This will not go down as Lindstrom’s best year, but Pro Football Focus credits him with just one sack on the year even so, and it goes without saying that his run blocking is among the very best in the NFL. Lindstrom is going to be here every year on reputation alone, of course, but even a slight down year for him where he’s bookended by a new starter at center and a third string right tackle is one of the better seasons any guard could dream of having. On a line that might be making significant changes soon, he is the lone lock to be here for a long while, and one of the best guards the Falcons have ever had.
Congratulations to both players, and hopefully next year a winning Atlanta team earns more recognition and more berths for deserving Falcons.
