Best Road Trip Ever with WCG
Windy City Gridiron Windy City Gridiron

What better way to experience a Chicago Bears road game than hanging out with your favorite content creators from WCG?

Windy City Gridiron is excited to announce an exclusive, gold star opportunity to anyone that will pay our loyal readers with not one, not two, but three travel opportunities this season. The WCG package offers an experience unlike our competitors who merely want you to foot the bill for them to travel. No, we want you to truly experience the away city as only a Bears fan can.

Game #1 - Cincinnati, November 2 - The George Halas Theme

The competition wants you to go to Sin City with the fake glitz and glamour in the middle of a desert. But why give all your money to rich casinos in Vegas when you can line our pockets for showing you around Cin City dressed in 1920’s era garb?

November marks 100 years since the famous Red Grange Barnstorming tour. Everyone will be required to dress up as their favorite person from the 1920’s (dibs on Al Capone). We’ll travel by train, like Halas’s crew did across the country a century ago, eating ham sandwiches and drinking Bee’s Knees the whole way.

The night before the game we reserved a party room at a downtown, high-end Cincinnati restaurant called The Skyline. There we will all eat a traditional 1925 meal of spaghetti smothered in chili topped with diced onions, beans, and shredded cheese. Afterwards, we’ll take in the air with a walk to the river where we’ll cross into Kentucky pretending like we’re bootleggers from Prohibition, procuring rare bottles of bourbon that will be donated to my personal collection for safekeeping.

Cost: $395*

*1925 dollars. You’ll be charged the inflated price at checkout.

Game #2 - Philly, November 28 - The Rocky Package

What better way to announce to the NFL the arrival of the Bears than taking out the defending champs on the road in late November? Travel in style on an old Greyhound bus to bond with fellow Bears fans on a quick 12 hour drive. Bus leaves early! (Note that the WCG crew will have already arrived in Philly through different travel plans in preparation for your arrival.)

After stepping foot off the bus, we’ll begin our activity for the night - a Philly Cheesesteak crawl through the City of Brotherly Love. We’ll hit up all the big touristy shops like Geno’s and Pat’s - and then we’ll go to actual good places like Jim’s and Dalessandro’s. (We’ll say we went to Donkey’s because people talk about it but that’s in NJ and we are not going to New Jersey.)

At each establishment, you’ll be required to hem and haw when putting in your order in the busy line full of hungry Philadelphians. You’ll then request at least one menu item that doesn’t exist and feign disbelief that they don’t have giardiniera. Then, after taking a bite or two, you’ll need to say in a loud voice “eh...not...
