Cincinnati Bengals joined in with much of the NFL world in clowning on the Kansas City Chiefs following their loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl. The Chiefs not only lost but were dominated wire-to-wire in embarrassing fashion.
In Super Bowl LIX, the Kansas City Chiefs — seeking to become the first team to win three Super Bowls in a row (not NFL championships, to be clear) — got their doors blown off by the Birds, as the game was never particularly close before ultimately ending 40-22.
Given how much the Chiefs have dominated the NFL over the last half-decade or so, the football world had quite a ball dancing on their grave, including Pro Bowl Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase.
After the Chiefs’ got steamrolled by the Eagles, Chase took to Instagram to post a meme highlighting his reaction to the result.

Similar to their loss to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Bucs in Super Bowl LV, the Chiefs’ offensive line got totally outclassed by the Eagles’ defensive front, putting Mahomes on the back foot from the moment the game started.
In the loss to the Eagles, Mahomes completed 21 of 32 passes for 257 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions — those three touchdowns all came in the second half, however, when the game was largely out of reach.
“Appreciate all the love and support from Chiefs Kingdom. I let y’all down today. I’ll always continue to work and try and learn and be better for it. Want to give thanks to God for every opportunity he has given me. We will be back,” Mahomes posted on social media after the game.
Following the conclusion of the 2024 season, the Eagles have opened as the favorites to win Super Bowl LX next year with odds of around +650. The Birds are then followed by the Baltimore Ravens (+700), Buffalo Bills (+750), Kansas City Chiefs (+750), and Detroit Lions (+850).
