Bengals vs. Patriots Injury Report: Joe Burrow and Mike Gesicki questionable; Trey Hendrickson out

Even though Joe Burrow (turf toe) has been a full participant in two straight practices, he is still listed as questionable for the Cincinnati Bengals’ Sunday clash with the New England Patriots, head coach Zac Taylor announced Friday.

Taylor also said tight end Mike Gesicki (pectoral), who was a full participant twice, is questionable as well. Meanwhile, Trey Hendrickson is out, and Samaje Perine is doubtful.

On the New England side, only running back Rhamondre Stevenson (toe) showed up on the injury report as being limited in the team’s second practice on Thursday, so expect the Patriots to have just about everyone available Sunday.

It’s important to keep in mind that Joe Flacco is nursing a shoulder injury, so if Burrow can play without risking re-injury, there’s a good chance he’ll be out there in an effort to resuscitate the Bengals’ season before it’s completely dead.

Even though many fans and pundits think it doesn’t make sense for the franchise QB to even try to play so soon after his injury with the stakes so low, Burrow has made it clear that he’s eager to play football again.

Be sure to check back later when both teams release their entire injury report.
