The Cincinnati Bengals have two more games on the horizon and are looking to finish a disappointing season on a high note. They were back on the practice field for a Christmas Eve session and released the first injury report of the week.
Defensive end Joseph Ossai (ankle) missed practice again. With Trey Hendrickson done for the season, Ossai and Murphy have been the only pass rush the Bengals have had lately. If Ossai can’t go, it could be a chance for rookie Shemar Stewart to see significant snaps.
Wide receiver/return man Charlie Jones (ankle) also missed practice. He missed the Week 16 game against Miami, so he could be out this week as well unless something changes.
Tight end Cam Grandy (chest) did not practice and Head Coach Zac Taylor called him “week-to-week,” so he likely won’t play.
Backup center Matt Lee (knee) was a limited participant, as the Bengals have designated him for return from injured reserve. No news on if the team will activate him, but he is back on the practice field.
For Arizona, they held a walkthrough Wednesday and released an estimated participation report.
Safety Budda Baker (concussion/thumb) was listed as a nonparticipant, leaving the status for one of their premier defenders in jeopardy.
Another popular defender for the Cardinals, Josh Sweat (knee/ankle) also missed practice, so he will be a name to watch as well.
Several players were limited, but should be good to go.
