The Cincinnati Bengals are working toward a big AFC showdown against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, and Thursday’s injury report brought some good news.
Tee Higgins (concussion) was a full participant in Thursday’s practice. He was limited on Wednesday, so the improvement in status indicates that he has a good chance to get back on the field this week. Higgins hasn’t played with Joe Burrow since Week 2.
Trey Hendrickson (hip/pelvis) was out of practice again, and head coach Zac Taylor already declared Hendrickson doubtful for Sunday. Basically, we can say he is out.
B.J. Hill got a rest day, while Cameron Sample (oblique) was limited for the second day in a row.
Chase Brown (calf) and Jermaine Burton (ankle) both went full as well.
For Buffalo, star edge rusher Joey Bosa (hamstring/wrist) did not practice for the second day in a row, so the Bengals’ pass blockers may be getting somewhat of a break Sunday. Bosa is expected to miss several weeks with his injury.
Linebacker Terrel Bernard (elbow) also missed his second straight practice.
Defensive end A.J. Epenesa (foot) was a new addition to the injury report, as he missed Thursday’s practice. Bosa and Epenesa have accounted for eight sacks and 64 total pressures this season.
