The Cincinnati Bengals’ list of unhappy players continues to grow even after their big win against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Cincinnati Bengals are coming off an impressive 33-31 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 7, but some of their players remain unhappy on the team.

Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson has now become the team’s latest player to request a trade, according to Ben Baby of ESPN.

“The sixth-year player has started in all seven of his appearances this season. However, the team captain has seen his role reduced over the course of the season,” Baby wrote. “Rookies Barrett Carter and Demetrius Knight Jr. have received the bulk of the team’s defensive snaps.”

Wilson, 29, has seen his snaps significantly decrease through the first seven weeks of the season. In Week 6, he played just 19.7% of the defensive snaps in Cincinnati’s 27-18 loss to the Green Bay Packers. Then in Week 7, he saw a slight increase to 47.5% of the snaps.

However, that is nowhere close to the amount of playing time Wilson seems to think he deserves as a team captain and long-time veteran of the team.

The Bengals selected Wilson in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft and he quickly established himself as a starter, posting four straight seasons (2021-24) with at least 100 tackles. He has also recorded 5.5 sacks, seven forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, 25 passes defensed and 11 interceptions since entering the league.

Cincinnati seems to believe Wilson has taken a step back amid its 3-4 start to the season, though. The additions of Knight and Carter in the 2025 NFL Draft doesn’t help Wilson’s future case with the team, either.

That doesn’t mean the Bengals are necessarily interested in moving on from Wilson now, especially with veteran quarterback Joe Flacco looking more than capable of keeping the ship afloat until Joe Burrow can return from his injury, but it will certainly be a situation to monitor.

The Steelers are scheduled to face the Bengals again in Week 11. It may just turn out that Cincinnati’s already struggling defense could be even more shorthanded for the second meeting of the season.
