One of the Cincinnati Bengals star defenders is not starting the offseason on the right note.

The Cincinnati Bengals have another important offseason ahead after disappointing once again in 2025. However, one of their players is already in the headlines for the wrong reasons.

Bengals cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt was sentenced to five days in jail after pleading guilty to charges of reckless driving and driving without a valid license, according to Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk. He was taken straight to Hamilton County Jail to serve his sentence.

Taylor-Britt originally faced five charges stemming from separate incidents in June and September, so the judge believed their ruling was “generous.”

“That’s a gift,” the judge said, via Chelsea Sick of WKRC. “Five days instead of 30. He’s got to do them now.”

The NFL has not taken any disciplinary action against Taylor-Britt yet, but it is reportedly aware of the matter.

Taylor-Britt played in just eight games for the Bengals this year before a foot injury ended his season. In those eight games, he recorded a career-low 21 tackles and five passes defensed.

Taylor-Britt had been a standout player in Cincinnati’s defense through the first three years of his career, though, racking up 182 tackles, 0.5 sack, two forced fumbles, seven interceptions, 33 passes defensed and two touchdowns during the span.

A second-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft by the Bengals, Taylor-Britt is in the final year of his rookie deal, so he may have played his last down for Cincinnati.
