The Cincinnati Bengals are coming off the worst loss in franchise history after falling to the Minnesota Vikings 48-10 on Sunday.
The Bengals were dominated from start to finish, and there were very few things to be excited about coming out of that loss.
One of the only small bright points on Sunday was former first round pick Myles Murphy.
Murphy has struggled to find any production, tallying 3.5 sacks in his three seasons as a Bengal, but he showed some serious flashes against the Vikings this past weekend.
Both Zac Taylor and Al Golden were very pleased with Murphy’s production and believe he may be turning a much-needed corner in year three.
“He has to play with that violence all the time. Hopefully that’s his floor now, not his ceiling. I really believe that can be a big moment for him moving forward,” Al Golden stated, according to Ben Baby.
Taylor backed that by saying this is possibly “a big moment for him moving forward,” and that would be crucial for this defense moving forward.
Rookie Shemar Stewart missed the Vikings game due to injury and will unlikely play against the Broncos this week, opening the door for more playing time for Murphy.
Hopefully, we will see another week of ‘violent’ Myles Murphy on Monday Night Football.
