A pair of moves in the defensive backfield.
The Cincinnati Bengals have signed undrafted free agent safety Shaquan Loyal and waived cornerback Micah Abraham, the team announced Monday.
Loyal 6-foot, 202-pound is a rookie out of Rutgers who had 77 tackles, seven passes defended, one sack, and two interceptions in the 2024 season. He was an All-Big Ten honorable mention.
Following the NFL Draft, it was reported that the Bengals had landed Loyal, but he was not announced on the team’s initial list of undrafted free agent signings. Perhaps he was invited for a tryout and had to earn his way onto the offseason 90-man roster.
Abraham spent the final 12 games of the 2024 regular season on Cincinnati’s practice squad after signing to the practice squad in October.
