The Cincinnati Bengals have placed running back Zack Moss on the active/non-football injury list, the team announced Tuesday.
Moss, a sixth-year player, played in eight games with six starts for Cincinnati last season after signing with the team in NFL free agency. However, a season-ending neck injury led to him missing the second half of the season, and it appears his recovery from said injury is not yet complete.
The 5-foot-10, 220-pound Moss gained 242 yards on 74 rushes and scored two touchdowns last year. He also caught 23 passes for 187 yards and a score. He’ll enter the 2025 season at 27 years of age and turns 28 in December.
With Moss out, that means sixth-round rookie Tahj Brooks will see extended reps in training camp as he looks to battle Samaje Perine for the No. 2 back spot behind Chase Brown.
Here’s to hoping Moss is back to full health sooner rather than later.
