The Cincinnati Bengals are desperately in need of a win on the road against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
After dropping both games against the Jets and Bears before the bye week, the team is now in must-win mode for the foreseeable future.
The Bengals’ defense has been a disaster this season after historically poor performances in the past two games, but the unit looked somewhat revamped in the first half today.
The defense made Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers offense very uncomfortable in the first half without both Trey Hendrickson and Shemar Stewart.
One bad storyline in the first half for the unit was Cam Taylor-Britt leaving early with an injury.
Britt was called for a defensive pass interference late in the second quarter and was clearly in some pain after the play was over.
The Bengals’ corner left the game and went to the locker room to be evaluated.
Just moments into the second half, the team announced that Britt has been diagnosed with a left foot injury and has been declared out.
The team also announced that defensive end Cam Sample has a right oblique injury and is questionable to return.
Sample was shaken up chasing Rodgers on a scramble after helping force the Steelers QB out of the pocket.
