Cincy Jungle
Former Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Ken Anderson frankly should already be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Anderson played 192 games during his career in Cincinnati. Over 16 years, Anderson was a four-time Pro Bowl selection and earned MVP honors in 1981.
For whatever reason, Anderson hasn’t gotten his moment yet, but on Wednesday, he moved one step closer to football immortality.
After being a semifinalist three other times, this marks the first time that Anderson has advanced to the final round.
Anderson is joined by former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick, Patriots owner Robert Kraft, running back Roger Craig, and Pittsburgh Steelers defensive end L.C. Greenwood.
Of the five finalists, only three will make it to Canton, so Anderson isn’t sure to be inducted. Hopefully, the voters give Anderson the nod, and he can see his bronze bust at next year’s festivities in Canton.
The Bengals have two Anderson’s who deserve enshrinement. Hopefully, once Ken is inducted, Willie Anderson won’t be too far behind him.
