Pride of Detroit
We are back after the Detroit Lions’ thrilling win over the New York Giants in Week 12 to preview another big game in Week 13, as the Green Bay Packers come to town for the second of the team’s two regular season matchups in 2025.
After the Packers got the better of the Lions back in Week 1, Detroit is looking to get even during their annual Thanksgiving Day game at Ford Field. To break things down, Meko and Morgan (me) are back with another episode of “Before the Roar.”
We kick things off by recapping how Green Bay has looked over the last month, where they have posted a 2-2 record. They are coming off of a convincing win over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 12, and are currently second in the NFC North with a record of 7-3-1 on the season. Like the Lions, the Packers have struggled with week-to-week consistency. They have looked dominant at times, like they did during their aforementioned win over the Lions earlier in the year, but have also looked flawed in other weeks, like in their losses to the Carolina Panthers and Cleveland Browns.
As usual, we dissect the injury reports from both teams, and how each team is trending prior to Thursday’s game. From there we get into discussions revolving around both the offensive and defensive sides of the football for the Lions, and how they can find success against what is a very talented team in Green Bay. We also dive into our picks for this week’s X-factors, as well as give our score predictions.
