Before getting into the Week 11 injury report for the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings, the Bears announced today that cornerback Jaylon Johnson had his 21-day practice window opened up. They’ll have 21 days to evaluate him in practice to see if he can be activated off injured reserve, which would be huge to get their Pro Bowl corner back for a playoff push. Johnson (groin) was listed as a limited participant today, with his official game status as questionable.
For the rest of today’s injury report, the Bears have listed starting linebacker T.J. Edwards (hand/hamstring) and reserve wideout Jahdae Walker (concussion) both out for Sunday’s game.
Chicago lists starting safety Jaquan Brisker as questionable with the back injury he sustained in their win against the Giants. He missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday, but was a limited participant today. “I feel good, Brisker said.” Be ready to play on Sunday.”
Defensive end Dominique Robinson, who missed the last couple of games with an ankle injury, has no designation and will be good to go.
But back to Jaylon Johnson, he looks pretty good for a guy coming off surgery less than two months ago.
The Vikings list two players as out: outside linebacker Jonathan Greenard and center Ryan Kelly, who is in his 21-day practice window.
Greenard is a big loss for their pass rush. While he has only two sacks this season, he compiled 24.5 sacks over the previous two years.
Quarterback J.J. McCarthy, who was limited early in the week, was full the last couple of days and has no injury designation.
