As the Chicago Bears prepare for the first game of the season against the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football, both teams have released their first official injury report for week 1.
The report notes that the Bears did not practice on Thursday (due to their practice schedule being adjusted for Monday Night Football). The team did practice on Wednesday. Thursday’s injury report is noted as being an estimation.
Listed as DNP (did not practice) were: DB Josh Blackwell (groin), LB TJ Edwards (hamstring), and RB Roschon Johnson (foot).
Listed as limited were DB Jaylon Johnson (calf/groin) and RB Kyle Monangai (hamstring).
Both WR Devin Duvernay (hamstring) and DL Dominique Robinson (oblique) were listed as full participants.
Johnson has been of chief concern of late, recovering from a soft tissue injury. Johnson missed all of training camp but did practice on Wednesday.
The Bears RB room also continues to be a concern, with R. Johnson (DNP) and Monangai (limited) both appearing on the injury report, and Travis Homer currently on IR.
The Minnesota Vikings have not yet listed their injury report. This article will be updated when they do.
