The last time the Chicago Bears played the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football, they pulled out a close win, 12 to 10, behind four Cairo Santos field goals, including a 55-yarder and a game-winning field goal from 30 yards out with 10 seconds left.
Here’s a fun Santos fact: this season, only five kickers have made more from 50+ than Cairo has. He’s 7 for 8 from that distance this season, which ties his career-best, which he set last year when he was also 7 for 8.
However, his overall numbers are down (80%) because he’s just 4 for 7 from 40 to 49 yards.
We've seen him bounce back from a bad stretch before in his Bears career, so maybe the controlled conditions of the dome in Minnesota is just what he needs to get back on track.
