In case you missed the huge news from earlier today, the Chicago Bears activated cornerbacks Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon off injured reserve. Both are expected to play even though they are listed as questionable on the official injury report for Friday’s game aganst the Philadelphia Eagles. They did practice in full all week; however, the only non-walk-through was on Wednesday.

Starting cornerback Tyrique Stevenson (hip) has been ruled out, so Jaylon Johnson should slide right back into the starting lineup opposite Nahshon Wright, who is tied for the league lead with five interceptions.

Also out for Chicago are starting linebackers T.J. Edwards (hand/hamstring), Noah Sewell (elbow), and Ruben Hyppolite II (shoulder), who was a fill-in starter last week due to all the injuries at the position.

When the Bears are in their 4-3 base defense, it will likely be D’Marco Jackson at the Mike, Amen Ogbongbemiga at the Will, and Daniel Hardy at the Sam. Other healthy linebackers on the roster are Carl Jones Jr. and Jalen Reeves-Maybin, who was elevated from the practice squad for the game.

Defensive end Dominique Robinson (concussion) is also out, and offensive lineman Luke Newman was placed on injured reserve.

The Eagles list three players out: wideout Xavier Gipson (shoulder), offensive lineman Myles Hinton (back), and starting right tackle Lane Johnson (foot). Running back Saquon Barkley and wide receiver DeVonta Smith are off he report and will play.
