The Chicago Bears (0-0-1) and Buffalo Bills (0-1) are each looking for their first preseason win, but more importantly, in these practice games, they’re looking to get out of there as healthy as possible. The Bears have already announced that they will play all available starters after holding them out last week against the Dolphins, while the Bills have yet to make a declaration (as of Friday night) about their number ones.
Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen was held out last week while their other starters played in their preseason game against the Giants. Allen probably won’t play again, and as for their other starters, Bills’ head coach Sean McDermott said on Friday that they’ll look over their injury report before making a decision.
These two teams practiced together on Friday (recap here), and Chicago head coach Ben Johnson said that they’ll decide how long his starters will play in the preseason game based on how well he feels the practice went.
