GM Ryan Poles announced the signings at his training camp presser

To kick off training camp, the Chicago Bears announced some additional depth signings.

General Manager Ryan Poles, in his opening remarks at Halas Hall, announced the Bears signed veterans defensive back Tre Flowers and defensive end Tanoh Kpassagnon.

Flowers is entering his eighth season. Last season he appeared in one game for the Indianapolis Colts and four games for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He’s made 44 career starts in 95 career game appearances.

Kpassagnon, a second-round pick in 2017 of the Kansas City Chiefs has appeared in 104 games with 34 starts over eight seasons with the Chiefs and New Orleans Saints.

Kpassagnon has 16.5 career sacks. He won a Super Bowl with the Chiefs in 2019.

With Poles mentioning that Jaylon Johnson is expected to remain on the NFI list for a few weeks, Flowers is some good veteran depth.

Kpassagnon spent the past four seasons with Dennis Allen and has familiarity with his system.
