Joe Brady is the 14th confirmed candidate the Bears have interviewed
Just hours after announcing their interview with Todd Monken, the Chicago Bears announced that they completed an interview with Joe Brady Friday.
Brady is currently serving as the offensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills. Brady is the 14th candidate to interview with the Bears.
Like Monken, this was the window for Brady to interview, with game-planning for the Bills’ Sunday showdown with the Ravens likely finished.
Joe Brady has a history with Bears QB Caleb Williams, as the two have known each other since Williams was in a camp when he was 12 years old at William and Mary, where Brady was the LBs coach. Brady is a William and Mary alum.
Brady rose to prominence as the passing game coordinator for the undefeated LSU Tigers led by Joe Burrow in 2019.
After two seasons as the offensive coordinator with the Carolina Panthers he ended up as the quarterbacks coach for the Bills. When Buffalo fired Ken Dorsey in 2023, Brady was named the interim offensive coordinator and got the job full-time.
Brady has QB Josh Allen playing at an MVP level, certainly the best football since former coordinator Brian Daboll left to take the New York Giants job.
The Bills finished 2023 sixth in points and finished 2024 second in points.
