Modern football is all about big plays and as a companion piece to the STEP Differential, I’m tracking the Bears big plays all year in this Infogram:
Last year’s tracker is on the second page. Remember that you can click into the tabs on the lower left to see the tally by player and you can hover over any of the shapes on the right hand side of the visual to see a description of each play. Like last year, I’ll color code the plays on the right with the team color of the opponent. New this year I’ve added a timestamp this year to each play.
I’m also going to try and post a few of the big plays each week as a matter of record keeping. Enjoy!
Bears had 5 explosive plays in this one – all in the first half. The defense really went to work adding four turnovers and two sacks to the ledger. Good stuff to get the STEP differential in positive territory.
First forced fumble and recovery of the year goes to…Tyrique Stevenson?!
Some love for Colston Loveland.
This is exactly how screens are drawn up.
Not one, not two, but three first half TDs.
Additional looks at the Flea Flicker because it is so cool. Also heard it called the Flea Flutter. Also heard it called the Flus Flicker.
Capping off a 19-play drive with this 4th down frozen rope.
Tremaine, Part I.
Tremaine, Part 2.
Byard gets in on the fun to seal the game.
