Bears Big Plays Tracker Week 14

Bears Big Plays Tracker Week 14
Windy City Gridiron Windy City Gridiron

Modern football is all about big plays and as a companion piece to the STEP Differential, I’m tracking the Bears big plays all year in this Infogram:

Last year’s tracker is on the second page. Remember that you can click into the tabs on the lower left to see the tally by player and you can hover over any of the shapes on the right hand side of the visual to see a description of each play. Like last year, I’ll color code the plays on the right with the team color of the opponent. New this year I’ve added a timestamp this year to each play.

One sack, one turnover, and three explosive plays. Not good enough to take down a team like Green Bay even though the Bears came incredibly close to tying this one up late. Overall, the Bears are 6th in the league in STEP Differential to this point, let of course by that beautiful turnover differential. The Bears remain elite at taking the ball away on defense and protecting it on offense. They had a clean sheet until that final play. Hopefully, I’ll be filling in the chart with a lot of brown and orange after this upcoming game against the Browns.

I’ll take that, thank you.

If they can unlock plays like this down the field…

At the end of the year, this throw will make the highlight reel.

This one too.

Fun play for a 1st down.

Ben was not pleased about the no-call on Eggs Benedet here, but Caleb with the awareness to find Loveland.

I like all of this.

Start making them pay on these scramble to throw plays.
