Windy City Gridiron
Modern football is all about big plays and as a companion piece to the STEP Differential, I’m tracking the Bears big plays all year in this Infogram:
Last year’s tracker is on the second page. Remember that you can click into the tabs on the lower left to see the tally by player and you can hover over any of the shapes on the right hand side of the visual to see a description of each play. Like last year, I’ll color code the plays on the right with the team color of the opponent. New this year I’ve added a timestamp this year to each play.
The Black Friday win over the Eagles was an old school pound the football win. The Bears didn’t earn a ton of colored shapes this week but there were some beauties. A couple of explosive runs (plus two runs from Swift of 17 each that were dang close) and a gorgeous TD toss to Cole Kmet. Nahshon Wright and Kevin Byard continue their thieving ways and the Bears continue to increase their turnover differential total.
Your gifs:
Love that juke about midway through the run for 23 yards.
The patience on this run is perfection.
The Matador back at it.
Bring him back, please.
Best play of the year candidate.
Name me one thing better than a big run. I dare you.
Becoming an every week thing.
Put this on a loop in a museum.
Bang bang – 9-3!
