Chicago Bears preseason games are always a strange watch. It’s our favorite team, so we naturally tune in. It’s just practice, so we don’t really care who wins or loses. That is, until it’s crunch time and we’d rather see the good guys come out on top. But after the game, regardless of the outcome, we just hope they made it through unscathed. The Bears were a little banged up, but nothing appears serious, so even though the scoreboard said the game was a tie, I’ll take it as a week one win for the franchise.
There were other individual winners on the field yesterday, and while roster battles are rarely won or lost in preseason, that’s not to say some Bears didn’t help their cause.
