Windy City Gridiron
Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson says you never apologize for wins in the National Football League. The Bears are (7-3), and considering how bad this franchise has been, that’s an awesome place to be.
“Proud of the guys, seven and three, that’s nothing to scoff at,” Johnson said in his postgame press conference. “As ugly as it can be at times, I mean this group’s just proven time and time again that when it’s close there in the fourth quarter that we’re capable of finding a way. So, first division win on the road, and I’m really proud of the guys for how they fought there at the end.”
The team believes in each other, and thanks to Johnson, there’s a winning culture being fostered throughout the entire franchise.
We, as a fanbase, really have no reason to act like close wins aren’t good enough wins for us.
We have no reason to be spoiled, as we haven’t experienced consecutive winning seasons since Chicago’s 2006 Super Bowl season.
