The scheduled fight between Patrick Mahomes Sr. and John Rocker has reportedly been intercepted by Brittany Mahomes.
Barstool Sports Founder Dave Portnoy revealed Friday that Brittany has caused the brawl to be canceled.
Portnoy said on “The Unnamed Show” that Mahomes Sr.’s son, Patrick Mahomes, and his wife, Brittany, essentially intervened to call off the fight.
According to Portnoy, just a few days after his “Rough N Rowdy” promotion announced the Mahomes vs. Rocker contract, people close to Mahomes stepped in and stopped things.
“This fight’s canceled,” Portnoy said. “… They came to us to do this. How would we ever come up with this concept? Like, let’s put John Rocker and Pat Mahomes Sr. [in the ring]; who would ever think of that? They came to us, said they hated each other, and wanted to fight. Devlin [D’Zmura], who does the Rough N’ Rowdy, was like, ‘Yeah, if they wanna fight, let’s do it.’

“Mahomes’ agent, the football player, and Brittany, from what I am told, intervened and were like, ‘There’s no way this fight’s happening. We’re gonna cut this guy off if he does it.’ So, they canceled. … If they wanna fight, let them fight. That’s what I say.”
Patrick Mahomes Sr. and Rocker had social media buzzing after they seemingly got into a confrontation on Bourbon Street during Super Bowl LIX week.
Footage showed Rocker smiling while approaching Mahomes, but then things would get serious as bystanders had to step in to seprate them.
Patrick Mahomes Sr., the father of the Chiefs quarterback, made major headlines when a video emerged of a squabble with former baseball player John Rocker on Bourbon Street in New Orleans.
The biggest issue with him is that he is currently on probation after a third DWI. That fight would’ve violated the terms of his freedom.
To avoid that, he made sure to inform the court earlier this month that the fight was a staged promotion for an April boxing match with Rocker at Barstool’s Rough N’ Rowdy.
The contract he signed was shown to the courts for proof.
Mahomes Sr. confessed that the incident with Rocker “was a staged altercation to get publicity for [a] celebrity boxing match that was set to take place in April 2025.”
Now, we know that the staging of the fight will lead to nothing since the fight is now off.
