Ian Rapoport confirms Washington’s injury could result in him missing the entire 2025 season.

Washington was slated to play a significant role for the Ravens this season. He will likely be put on the Physically Unable to Perform list.

The 24-year-old was a two-year starter at TCU and an honorable mention all-conference selection in 2020.

He signed with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent following the 2021 NFL Draft.

The Ravens brought Ar’Darius Washington back in 2024 on an exclusive rights deal and placed a right of first refusal tender on him this offseason.

Ar’Darius Washington Just Signed Restricted Free Agent Tender Weeks Ago

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that Ar’Darius Washington tore his Achilles tendon during conditioning.

It’s a brutal blow for the 25-year-old safety, who emerged as a key defender in the Ravens’ secondary last season and tallied career bests in total tackles and interceptions. He also had one sack, one forced fumble, and five tackles for loss in 10 starts.

He signed the one-year, reported $3.263 million restricted free agent tender late last month.

The 5-foot-8 safety will now have to work his way back to be ready for the 2026 season.
