The Baltimore Ravens are pulling the plug on the Justin Tucker era.

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Ravens have released Justin Tucker after 13 years with the organization. The NFL is investigating sexual misconduct allegations against Tucker by 16 women.

The Ravens used a sixth-round pick (186th overall) on Arizona kicker Tyler Loop, a strong indicator that Tucker was on borrowed time in Baltimore. The Ravens decided to move forward with Loop less than two weeks after the draft and chose not to wait for the NFL’s investigation against Tucker to conclude.

The Baltimore Banner spoke to six massage therapists who accused Tucker of sexual misconduct. The article was published in January, and 10 more women later came forward with allegations against the veteran kicker.

Justin Tucker has denied the allegations. Tucker said the story from The Baltimore Banner was “desperate tabloid fodder” and accused them of committing “journalistic failures at every turn.”

Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh told reporters that Tucker’s future with the team would be a football-based decision. Coming off the worst season of his career, the Ravens ultimately decided it wasn’t worth keeping the seven-time Pro Bowler around for another year.

Tucker helped the Ravens to a Super Bowl 47 championship in his rookie 2012 season. He earned five First-team All-Pro selections and holds several NFL records, including the longest field goal ever (a 66-yarder in 2021 against the Detroit Lions) and best career FG percentage (89.1).

Justin Tucker Has Been On The Decline Since 2022

Tucker is a career 89.1 percent field goal kicker, but he has finished below that mark in three consecutive seasons. He made 86.0 percent of kicks in 2022 and 86.5 percent in 2023 before finishing 2024 with a horrid 73.3 FG percentage.
