Baltimore Ravens Head Coach Jim Harbaugh, along with Los Angeles Chargers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh, attended a meeting with President Donald Trump at the White House on Thursday
According to White House officials, Baltimore Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh — along with brother and Head Coach of the Los Angeles Chargers Jim Harbaugh — met with President Donald Trump in the Oval Office.
According to The Baltimore Banner, the White House invited the Harbaugh family, along with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang. However, details on the meeting between the president and NFL head coaches were not available.
The Harbaugh brothers along with Huang took a photo together with President Trump. However, details of the meeting were not available.
John Harbaugh has not been publicly involved in politics outside of a comment made during August 2015 when Harbaugh called for the construction of a border wall.
“I’m going Trump here,” Harbaugh said after a preseason practice. “Build the wall. If you don’t have a border, you don’t have a country. You’re not a country without a border, right At the same time, you’ve got 12 [million] to 15 million hardworking people here. Give them a shot. Give them a chance to become a citizen, so they’re paying taxes. All of us know that it’s not that complicated, but this side doesn’t want to solve it. Neither does [the other] side. Neither one of them want to solve the problem. Solve the problem.”
In 2019, Trump called former House of Representatives member Elijah Cummings’ district a, “disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess.”
Numerous times, Trump attacked Cummings on social media after Cummings challenged him on border issues, responding with, “[Cummings] district is considered the Worst in the USA......”
